"If you have in your head an idea of what a 3 day retreat for student athletes looks like, college advance probably fits that mold. Despite never having gone before I knew what I was going to get that weekend, however, I didn't decide to go so I could be surprised with new experiences. I like to describe what I got as a familiar hug of fellowship: a place that allowed me to be honest with some of my recent struggles and be raw about my walk with God especially including the moments when I struggle to walk with God. Sometimes you need a spiritual lift in your life and college advance provided that for me. I left feeling stronger than when I arrived (and that's not because they made us do pushups before a sermon one time) and more prepared than ever to meet God wherever he may be working in my life."

The opportunity that I had to get to know the student-athletes on a deeper level is something that I am truly grateful for. Additionally, the opportunity for them to get to know their teammates and other student-athletes better was a joy to watch. I am grateful for the relationships God started and deepened on our trip to College Advance."
