Noel Cherry
Noel grew up on a farm near Celina, Tennessee, and attended Celina High School. He played football at Celina High School, as well as one year at MTSU. He received his B.S. in 1965 and his M.A. in 1969, both from MTSU. He coached football, boys’ and girls’ basketball for 36 years, and was associated with FCA as a coach for 23 years. Noel gave his life to Christ on December 5, 1976. He has been the Area Director of FCA since September, 2001, overseeing FCA huddles in 45 Middle Tennessee schools. |
Mick Miller
Mick was born and raised in Tunnel Hill, Georgia and attended Boyd-Buchanan High School in Chattanooga. While there, he played football, basketball, and baseball. Mick then attended Tennessee Tech University, where he played football for two years. His involvement with FCA began at Tech where he served as a worship leader for Tech FCA. He graduated from Tech in 2006 with a degree in Marketing. Mick joined the FCA staff in May of 2007. He is serving as an Area Representative for the Upper Cumberland FCA. |
Sheri Aubrey Pharris
Sheri has been on staff with FCA since 2004. She is the women's ministry director of our area. She also serves as chaplain to the Tennessee Tech women's basketball team. Her FCA involvement began when she was a student-athlete during her middle and high school years in her hometown of Elizabethton, TN. Sheri ran cross country, track, played basketball, softball, and volleyball. Her favorite sport became volleyball which she played for 3 years for the Elizabethton Lady Cyclones.
She is married to her best friend, Adam Pharris of Cookeville, TN. They have been married since August 30, 2008. Adam was also involved in FCA through high school and college. |
Deana Persson
This is Deana’s 4th year as a part-time Administrative Assistant with FCA. She grew up in Dayton, Ohio, and after graduation from West Carrollton Senior High, attended Lipscomb University where she received her B.S. degree in 1974. Deana prays weekly with Moms in Touch, is involved in leadership with Community Bible Study, and is an active member of Putnam County Right to Life. She is married to Lance, and they have one son, Tyler Dean, who is a sophomore at Tennessee Tech University. |
